# Serrated Inserts · Selection notes

Observe the internal thread, external thread and end serrations to distinguish connection, positioning and anti-rotation functions.

## How it works

The product illustration shows a solid insert with internal and external threads and end serrations. End features can engage the parent material to resist rotation, but pressing, screwing or forming methods cannot be determined from appearance alone. Follow the ZCOIL structural drawing and process documents.

## Selection guidance

- Serrations and parent material：Check serration position and material condition at the contact surfaces.
- Installation process：Confirm screw-in, press-in or forming requirements from the drawing.
- Interface and space：Internal and external threads, length and end clearance.
- Sealing requirements：Specify the media and pressure, and confirm sealing separately.

## Installation overview

1. Obtain the structural drawing：Confirm serration dimensions and contact surfaces.
2. Confirm the installation method：Check the receiving hole, tool and assembly direction.
3. Prototype validation：Check parent-material deformation and installed position.
4. Functional inspection：Verify anti-rotation, connection and sealing performance as required.

Actual dimensions, performance and installation must follow the approved drawings and technical agreement.
